PARABLES OF JESUS – Saltiness
Luke 14:34-35
" 'Salt is good; but if salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.' "
Salt helps bring out the flavor of other food. God's people are seasoning in society that should bring out the best. But if Christians lose their flavor and become like the rest of society, they cannot fulfill their purpose and are fit only to be discarded. When people can taste no difference between Believers and the world, it is no wonder that Unbelievers throw out the Gospel as irrelevant.
TODAY'S THOUGHT: Christians should be the salt that brings out the best in society.
Have a "salty" day. Love you.
