WEEDS IN THE FIELD
“Matthew 13:24-26
“Another parable He put forth to them, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while he slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.’ ”
Satan hates the Church because the body of believers is the Kingdom of God on this earth under the Lordship of Jesus. So Satan attacks the Church by planting weeds in the field – people who sort of look and act like Christians but are not true believers. They are planted among the true seed in order to bring disrepute to the owner of the field by diluting the purity of the crop, and hindering the growth of weaker seed. They are sometimes hard to identify as tares until they have grown, but their fruit identifies them as weeds. The Church needs to be alert and not asleep to these weeds that have been planted in the field.
TODAY’S PRINCIPLE: In any Church, weeds spring up among the good seed – the true wheat – that affect the purity of the crop.

Have a discerning day. Love you.
