GOOD FRUIT – BAD FRUIT

Matthew 12:33-34

“ ‘Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.’ ”

This applies to everyone, but politicians are a prime example They can speak good-sounding words, but their unguarded utterances, when they are off-camera and they think the mikes are off, reveal what is really on the inside – their true motivation. You can’t expect good apples from a rotten tree, nor can you expect good things from a rotten heart. Unless the inside is changed, it will all be bad fruit. Lord Jesus, keep changing my heart. I really want to produce good fruit.

TODAY’S PRINCIPLE: Good fruit can only come from a pure heart.
