Dad's Ramblings -- Parables of Jesus -- Faithful Servants

PARABLES OF JESUS – Faithful Servants
Matthew 24:45-46

" 'Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.'"

The faithful servant is true to his mission and the responsibilities the master has given him while he is away. The evil servant's motto is, "When the cat's away, the mice will play." He says in his heart, "The master delays his return," so he spends his time carousing (vss. 48-49). The Master said, "Occupy (do business) until I come again" (Luke 19:13b). I want to be found faithful doing His business until He returns.

TODAY'S THOUGHT: God calls us to be faithful servants until Jesus comes.

Have a faithful day. Love you.
