THE POWER OF PRAISE
Matthew 21:16
“And Jesus said to them, ‘Yes. Have you never read, “Out of the moth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise”?’ ”
In response to the high and mighty priests and scribes, who thought they were so religious, Jesus quoted Psalm 18:2. But He expanded it. In Psalm 8:2, the word Jesus translated as “praise” is the Hebrew word for “strength, power, majesty.” The New Living Translation of the Psalm is, “You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing Your enemies and all who oppose You.” In their pride, the Jewish leaders could not praise God for the miracles that Jesus did because that would recognize Jesus’ power and majesty. It is simple childlike faith that recognizes the power of God and results in praise. Almost 40 years ago, Merlin Carothers wrote a book entitled, “Power In Praise.” Praise to the Almighty God defeats the adversaries who come against the Lord Jesus. As a child in simple faith and trust, I give Jesus praise and exalt His power and majesty.
TODAY’S PRINCIPLE: Simple faith results in praise to God for His almighty power, and silences the His enemies.

Have a praising day. Love you.
