DAD'S RAMBLINGS -- HOPE

 HOPE
Genesis 41:1a

"Then it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream....."

Two years can seem like an eternity when one is in a dark place in life as Joseph was. It seemed like nothing was happening. He was stuck in prison through no fault of his own, and seemingly forgotten, even by God. He probably thought, "Will this nightmare ever end?" But unknown by Joseph, God was working behind the scene, setting the stage for Joseph's deliverance. I love those words, "It came to pass" – it didn't come to stay. Even though I may not see it at the time, God is working to bring about a victory. And that gives me hope. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). I will live by faith.

TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: Hope is inspired by the knowledge that God is at work even when I can't see it.

Have a hopeful day. Love you.
