TRUE GREATNESS
Matthew 18:1
“At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, ‘Who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ ”
The disciples were concerned with their own position and status. This is a common preoccupation with many people, whether it is wanting to be first in line in the grocery checkout, being top dog in an organization, or playing first chair in an orchestra. This desire to be first is embodied by Muhammed Ali – “I’m the greatest!” But this is not the Kingdom way of living. Jesus called a child to Himself and told His disciples they needed to become as a little child – humble. Humility is the path to greatness. That means putting others ahead of myself and serving them. I need to be content playing second or third fiddle and let God take care of the position and status.
TODAY’S PRINCIPLE: The way to greatness is through humility and service.

Have a “great” day. Love you.
