DAD'S RAMBLINGS -- GOD'S MATH

GOD’S MATH

Matthew 19:4-6

“And He answered and said to them, ‘Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning “made them male and female,” and said, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh”? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.’ ”

This is God’s math in marriage: 1 + 1 = 1. God created man Adam and Eve with different biological apparatus so that in the sexual act they become one. He created each gender with unique abilities and giftings so that when they are joined together, they fill up what is lacking in the other sex. They compliment each other. They need each other in order to be whole. That is why God said, “It is not good for man to be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him” (Genesis 2:18). God did not make Eve as a clone of Adam. A man is incomplete without woman, and a woman is incomplete without man. They need each other biologically, emotionally, and spiritually in order to be compete. In our fallen world because of our stubborn independence, this does not always happen, but it is God’s creative intent.

TODAY’S PRINCIPLE: God created man and woman to be different so that when they are joined together they become one, completing what is lacking in the other.

Have a “completed” day. Love you.
