BLINDED
II Corinthians 4:3-4
"But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them."
The god of this age – Satan, the liar and deceiver – has done a good job of blinding people to the reality of sin and our need for a Savior. He causes people to believe that a lie is the truth and that the truth is unreasonable. The legalization of recreational marijuana in Washington state is an example. People have been convinced that the way to solve the drug problem is to control it by making it legal. This makes no logical sense, but the majority of voters in Washington believe it. Denying the reality of a problem or making it legal does not cure the problem. Only Jesus is the answer for the problem of sin. May the light of the gospel shine.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: Putting on a blindfold does not make a problem go away.
