DAD'S RAMBLINGS – Discerning The Times
Romans 13:11-12
"And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light."
The rhythm of life – getting up, going to work, going to bed – has a way of lulling me to sleep, thinking that life will go on like this, so I don't live in the anticipation that Jesus could come today. Each day I live is one day closer to His return. Living in expectancy of His coming will affect the way I live. May I be like the sons of Issachar, "who had understanding of the times" (I Chronicles 12:32).
TODAY'S THOUGHT: Each day the sun comes up is one day closer to Jesus' return.
Have an "awake" day. Love you.
