"If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for so you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will reward you."
Proverbs 25:21-22
This proverb is quoted in Romans 12:20. In that context, Paul counsels that anger that seeks vengeance should be put aside. Here's the issue: If I have anger toward someone, I am allowing that person to control me. The way to regain control of my own emotions is to be proactive and do something good for that person. The reward is freedom from the bondage of anger.
Today's Thought: The reward of doing good to my enemy is a free spirit.
Have a rewarding day. Love you.
