"A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
Proverbs 18:24
It bugs me when people, after visiting a church, say, "They weren't very friendly," for two reasons. First, we go to church to meet God, not people. Second, if I want people to be friendly to me, I must myself be friendly. Friendship is a two-way street. To find a close friend who sticks through thick and thin, I must reach out and commit myself to be that kind of friend. (See Dad's Ramblings for Proverbs 12:26.)
Today's Thought: Friendship is a result of my efforts to reach out to people.
Have a friendly day. Love you.
