"The beginning of strife is like releasing water; therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts."
Proverbs 17:14
Picture all the water stored up behind the Bonneville Dam. If the dam were to be breached, all the force of that water rushing and cascading down the Columbia Gorge would do immeasurable damage and destruction to the people in its path. But mechanisms are in place to control the release of the water in a positive manner. Now picture the anger pent up inside. If the dam is broken in an argument, the anger boils out doing great damage. There need to be mechanisms in place to release the anger in a controlled way. It is better to deal with contention before the fight begins.
Today's Thought: Pent up anger is destructive when the dam is broken, but can be beneficial when released in a controlled manner.
Have a "controlled-release" day. Love you.
