HERE I AM
Genesis 17:12-13
"Then his brothers went to feed their father's flock in Shechem. And Israel said to Joseph, 'Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, I will send you to them.' So he said to him, 'Here I am."
Joseph was quick to submit to his father's wishes with no excuses. He could have said, "I'm too young to go," or "That's too far," or "Don't you know that they hate me?" Instead, his answer to the call was a simple, "Here I am." Oh, that I would be that quick to say "Yes" to my Heavenly Father. I want to be like Joseph and Isaiah – quick to answer, "Here am I! Send me" (Isaiah 6:8).
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: A quick "Yes" to God's call is the best answer, without excuses.
