DAD'S RAMBLINGS – New Beginnings
Exodus 12:1-2
"Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 'This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year for you.' "
I am so glad for New Year's Day. It is a day of new beginnings – a day of hope and anticipation for tomorrow. The bondage of Egypt is history, and the land God promised is in the future. Sure, there will be new challenges this year, and I will still deal with some of my same issues and attitudes from last year. But it still feels like a new opportunity to see what God will do as I begin the journey into the new year. Thank God for new beginnings.
TODAY'S THOUGHTS: January 1st gives opportunity for a fresh start.
