I LIVE FOR HEAVE

Matthew 6:19-21
" 'Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.' "
I live for heaven. That's where my true treasure is. Life has to be more than this 75 years of existence. If the only reason I am alive is what I have in this life, then I am of all men most pitiable (I Corinthians 15:19), because I will die and all I have in this world will be gone. All my treasures on earth – my retirement account, my house, my "stuff," even my family, will vanish – "Poof!" If there is nothing after death, then there is no meaning for life on this earth. It is an empty shell. There must be more to life than the treasures I have here, as good as they are. My heart and my treasure are in heaven.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: Life only has meaning in the light of heaven.
