"And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."
Acts 4:31
With the assurance they received from God that He was with them (the shaking and the filling), they continued to proclaim God's word. They didn't preach against the Jews or use their platform to defend themselves. They simply preached the Word. It seems a lot of what I have heard through the years is "anti" something. When I was a kid, it was anti-communism; then it was anti-discrimination; then anti-war; then anti-abortion. Today it is anti-Obama. There may be validity in all of these causes, but "antis" come and go, but the Word of God remains forever.
Today's Thought: God's Word should be the focus of all preaching.
