THE IMPORTANT THINGS
II Corinthians 11:5-6
"For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles. Even though I am untrained in speech, yet I am not in knowledge. But we have been thoroughly manifested among you in all things."
The Corinthians knew Paul. They knew that he did not speak as eloquently as some of the other teachers. Here I am reminded of Moses' inability to speak well (Exodus 4:10). But there were other things that Paul demonstrated by his life that were more important than his speaking ability – his love, his faith and devotion to God, his integrity, his knowledge of the Old Testament Scriptures, and his purity of life. At any rate, Paul knew who he was and his calling by God. I respect a person who knows what he is talking about and demonstrates godly character – the important things – even if he does not have great communication skills. There are things more important than flowerly speech.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: There are more important things than the ability to talk eloquently.

Have an "important things" day. Love you.
