DAD'S RAMBLINGS -- SUPERFLUOUS

 SUPERFLUOUS
II Corinthians 9:1

"Now concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you."

Superfluous. What a great word! I can remember the first time my father learned this word from the Reader's Digest. It means "unnecessary" or "redundant." Yet Paul continues his discussion about the giving of the gift to the believers in Judea. Repetition, though boring, is the key to learning. To really grasp a concept, I need to hear it again and again. Once is not enough. God (and my wife) often have to repeat my lessons because I am so dense. It may be superfluous, but it is necessary.

TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: Repetition of instructions is necessary for learning lessons.

Have a superfluous day. Love you.

P.S. -- Thank you, Loren, for catching my error.  I need a proofreader.
