GOD'S PLEA FOR RECONCILIATION

GOD'S PLEA FOR RECONCILIATION
II Corinthians 5:19-20

"That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us, we implore you, be reconciled to God."

Tommy is a gentleman here in the park who is into "new age" ideology. When I try to share the Gospel with him, he says, "I am a follower of Jesus, but he is not my savior. He was only a good man who said good things and showed us how to live." Jesus said that his mission was to seek and to save the lost – those who are separated from God (Luke 19:10). He came, not just so we could live a good life in this world, but so that our sin could be forgiven and we could go to heaven to be with God. That can only happen through the reconciliation of Christ. There is no other way because Jesus is the Way, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). God wants fellowship with us  so very much that He sent Jesus to suffer and die for it. God wants us to be with Him, and is pleading to a lost world, "Be reconciled to God."

TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: God is pleading with sinners to be reconciled to Himself through the sacrifice of Jesus.

Have a "fellowship with God" day. Love you.
