DAD'S RAMBLINGS -- Out Of Control

DAD'S RAMBLINGS – Out Of Control
II Kings 5:2

"And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back a captive young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman's wife."

Here is a young girl, snatched from her parents and taken to a foreign land. This was not by her choice, but was forced upon her. Yet she apparently served her captors without bitterness or anger. Sometimes life takes turns that are beyond my control. Accidents happen that are caused by other people. The government makes demands that I cannot control. Family makes demands that are not by my choice. I want to be in control of my life, but often I am thrust into situations that are not of my choosing. How I respond to these circumstances that are beyond my control demonstrates how much I am committed to God's work and plan for my life. I must trust God and commit those things to Him and serve, even when it is not by my choice.

TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: God calls us to trust Him and serve, even when things are out of our control.

Have a committed day. Love you.
