DAD'S RAMBLINGS – Expecting A Miracle
II Kings 4:38-41
There was a famine in the land, but the sons of the prophets need to eat. So Elisha told Gehazi to make some stew. Some fruit was found and put into the stew, but unbeknown to Elisha, it was poisonous. "So [Elisha] said, 'Then bring some flour.' And he put it into the pot, and said, 'Serve it to the people, that they may eat.' And there was nothing harmful in the pot."
God can do miracles very well without my help. But He often involves us humans in the process to accomplish what is beyond the human power to do – like Moses putting a tree limb into the bitter waters of Marah (Exodus 18:25), or using a lad's loaves and fishes to feed thousands (John 6:9-11), or having a lame man get up and walk (Acts 3:6). If I am not willing to do what I have in my power to do, then I should expect a miracle.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: God often involves people in performing His miracles.
Have an involved day. Love you.
