COMFORT AND PEACE
II Corinthians 13:11b
"Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you."
Paul ended this letter with the same word he began with: comfort. Remember Chapter 1 – "the God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our tribulation" (vss. 3-4). Comfort is not necessarily the same as ease. God has not promised us a life of ease – of just floating through life with no struggles or cares. There are battles to be fought. Even being of one mind and living in peace (in harmony with those around us) can be a challenge. But God has promised to be with us with His love and peace. I can rest in Him.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: God has promised His love and peace in the midst of our struggles.
[end]
Have a comforted and peace-filled day. Love you.
