THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE
"Now the king of Syria was making war against Israel; and he consulted with his servants, saying, 'My camp will be in such and such a place.' And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, 'Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there.' "
On several occasions, the king of Syria made plans to attack Israel, but nothing was hidden from the omniscient God, and He would reveal those plans to Elisha, the "man of God." In the New Testament, this would be called the Word of Knowledge. Elisha would then inform the king of Israel of those plans so they could avoid a confrontation. The king of Syria thought there was a traitor in his camp, but in reality, it was God who told Elisha the plans the king of Syria was making "in his bedroom" (vs. 12). Nothing is hidden from God, even the plans of the enemy. I can think of specific times when I was impressed in my spirit to change my plans. I believe God was keeping me from harmful situations. He knows what lies ahead of me today. I need to follow His promptings. "The steps of the good man are ordered by the Lord" (Psalm 37:23a). It pays to listen to the voice of my spirit.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: The omniscient God knows everything, and He can keep His children from danger if they will heed His promptings.

Have a listening day. Love you.
