RELATIONSHIPS
Colossians 2:2-4
"... that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
Paul's "great conflict" or struggle (vs. 1) concerned the believers' relationships with each other as the body of Christ, and their relationship with God. He wanted to see genuine love between believers – hearts knit together. But he also wanted to see them growing in their knowledge of Father and Jesus. These two aspect of Christian living are entwined. As John wrote, "...he who loves God must love his brother also" (I John 4:21b). As the old song goes, "You can't have one without the other."
TODAY'S THOUGHT: Love for other people is directly related to love for God.
Have a "growing" day. Love you.
