TRUE BELIEVERS
Daniel 2:46-47
Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face prostrate before Daniel... The king answered Daniel, and said, 'Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.' "
How do you identify a true believer? It sounds like Nebuchadnezzar was converted and became a follower of the Most High God. People can talk a good talk and sound like true people of faith. But the evidence of faith is not in what people say but in what they do. In the next chapter, Nebuchadnezzar made a statue and commanded everyone to "fall down and worship" (3:6). It is apparent that the king did not really believe that Daniel's God was "God of gods and Lord of lords."
TODAY'S THOUGHT: The proof of true faith is demonstrated by action.
