Dad's Ramblings -- Revelation

REVELATION

Daniel 2:29-30

" 'As for you, O king, thoughts came into your mind while on your bed, about what would come to pass after this; and He who reveals secrets has made known unto you what will be. But as for me, the secret has not been revealed to me because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but for our sakes who have made known the interpretation to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.' "

Daniel was not puffed up in his own wisdom. He realized that he had knowledge only by God's revelation. Some people are proud in their spirituality, and consider others without their knowledge to be inferior. I have known Pentecostals who consider non-pentecostals to be less spiritual. And I have known non-pentecostals who think people who speak in tongues are immature. It is not a matter of being more or less spiritual. It has to do with revelation. I am not better than someone else just because I have spiritual insights, but am humbled that God would reveal them to me.

TODAY'S THOUGHT: Spiritual insights should not be a cause for pride.

Have a "revelation" day. Love you.
