WHAT AM I GONNA DO?

WHAT AM I GONNA DO?
II Kings 6:15-16

"And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, 'Alas, my master! What shall we do?' So he answered, 'Do not fear, for those who are with us are more
than those who are with them.' "

The king of Syria heard that Elisha was at Dothan. So he went with his army to capture him. The sight of this great army struck fear into the heart of Elisha's servant. But Elisha prayed that his eyes would be opened to see the heavenly army that surrounded them (vs. 17). One saw the problem with earthly vision; the other had spiritual vision to see the help God provided. Fear paralyzes so that I can only say, "What am I gonna do?" Faith rests in the confidence that God has an answer. I want to have open eyes to see the heavenly army – the ministering spirits that God sends to help the heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14).

TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: A person of faith can rest in the assurance that God provides help for the problems that surround him.

Have a "eye-opening" day. Love you.
