DAD'S RAMBLINGS – The Work Of God
Romans 14:20-21
"Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things are indeed pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. It is good neither to eat meat nor to drink wine nor do any thing by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak."
What is the value of something I consider good but another considers sin? Is my liberty worth destroying God's work in other peoples' lives, causing them to stumble or lose their faith? I cannot think of anything that is more precious than another person's faith for salvation – certainly not any pleasure I might enjoy in this world.
TODAY'S THOUGHT: Following Jesus requires that I deny myself – even good things – for the sake of the work of God and His Kingdom.
Have a following Jesus day. Love you.
