DAD'S RAMBLINGS – If God Wills
Romans 1:9-10
"For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way to in the will of God to come to you."
Paul had strong desire to visit the Believers at Rome, and was seeking a way to get there, but only "in the will of God." How often I want to do something and never ask God if it is His desire. My desires, as a servant, must always be run through the strainer that separates out what is God's desire from what is only my desire. James echoed this sifting process when he wrote, "Instead you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that' " (James 4:15I). A servant should have one overarching goal in life: to do the will of his Master.
TODAY'S THOUGHT: The Believer's desire should always be subject to God's will.
Have a serving day. Love you.
