DAD'S RAMBLINGS -- A Respite

DAD'S RAMBLINGS – The Respite
Jonah 4:6

"And the LORD God prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery. So Jonah was very grateful for the plant."

Even in the midst of his depression, Jonah experience God's compassion and grace. It was a respite – a temporary escape from his misery. But it did not last long because Jonah still had a lesson to learn. Still, Jonah was grateful. I need to be thankful for the oases, even though they may be transient. There are still lessons to be learned from God's heart.

TODAY'S THOUGHT: The wise person is thankful for even the occasional oasis God provides in the midst of pain.

Have a respite day. Love you.
