DAD'S RAMBLINGS – God Can Do It Again
II Kings 4:42-44
"Then a man came from Baal Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstrfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, 'Give it to the people, that they may eat.' But his servant said, 'What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?' He said again, 'Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the LORD: "They shall eat and have some left over." ' So he set it before them; and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the LORD."
This reminds me of the time Jesus fed the multitudes . There are so many parallels – the large multitude and the small amount of food, the command to "give them to eat," and the leftovers (Mark 6:30-44) – that I can't help but wonder if Jesus used Elisha's miracle as a model for his own miracle. I do know the fact that God did a miracle in the past is an encouragement to believe that He can do it again.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: What God has done before, HE CAN DO IT AGAIN!
