PARABLES OF JESUS – STRANGLED FAITH
Matthew 13:7
"And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them."
Jesus explained that the thorns are "the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches" which make a person unfruitful (vs. 22). How many people allow the "stuff" of life and the desire for money and things to strangle their faith and cause their lives to be unfruitful in spiritual things? It is a challenge to be alert to the things that would sap all my energy and time, and crowd out what is really important.
TODAY'S THOUGHT: The things of this world can choke one's spiritual life so he is unfruitful.
