SALVATION – PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE
I Peter 1:5
"Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
Salvation begins, continues, and ends in God. Some people have the notion that once they receive Jesus as Savior, that the rest of their salvation depends on how good they live. But I know that I can do nothing to be saved – past, present, or future – except to believe that Jesus died and rose again for me. If my salvation depended in any way on my righteous life, I would be doomed to hell, because I can't live good enough to merit salvation. Scripture makes it clear that it is by grace that we are saved through faith, and that it is not of works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). I am so glad that I am kept by the power of God, because He never fails.
TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: Salvation is solely a work of God – past, present, and future.

Have a secure day. Love you.
