DERISION

 DERISION
II Samuel 5:8

"Now David said on that day, 'Whoever climbs up by way of the water shaft and defeats the Jebusites (the lame and the blind, who are hated by David's soul), he shall be chief and captain. Therefore they say, 'The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.' "

The Jebusites had spoken in derision, saying that even the lame and the blind would defeat David's army (vs. 6). But they were proven wrong, and on the day of battle, the Jebusites were all shown to be weak. There are those who speak derisively of people of Christian faith. I have been accused of using religion as a crutch. Some people think Christians are ignorant, weak-minded, and weak. But the day of judgment will tell who is really "lame and blind." The truth will be revealed, and they will not come into God's house – heaven.

TODAY'S PRINCIPLE: People who are strong in faith are considered weak by unbelievers, but one day, the truth will reveal who is really "blind and lame."

[end]

Have a strong day. Love you.
