Dad's Ramblings -- Inner Strength

INNER STRENGTH
Colossians 1:11

[I pray that you be] "... strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy ...."

When I was a kid, I was a weakling. I could not even chin myself on a bar, and I dreamed of being like Charles Atlas – rippling with muscles.  Worse than that, I did not have the inner strength to resist the pull of the crowd.  I wanted to be accepted and popular -- to be like everyone else.  There is a strength that is much more important than physical strength. It is inner strength, strength of character that can resist temptation to sin, strength that endures hard times with patience and joy. I confess that I am still weak and need the strength of His glorious power to live a godly life. My strength is in You, Lord.  (See also Ephesians 3:16.)

TODAY'S THOUGHT: Inner strength is much more important than physical strength.

Have a strong day in Jesus. Love you.
