Dad's Ramblings -- The Power of Touch

THE POWER OF TOUCH
I Corinthians 7:1-2

"Now concerning the things of which you wrote me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each man have his own husband."

Paul turned a page and started a new chapter to write about sex and marriage. God introduced marriage into our vocabulary from the beginning when we said that "it is not good that man should be alone," and that "they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:18, 24). But the marriage in God's plan is always in the context of monogamous commitment of male and female – husband and wife. Any other physical contact between the sexes is outside of His perfect plan. The stimulation of touch to the hormones is powerful and is to be avoided except in the marriage context.

TODAY'S THOUGHT: Physical touching between male and female is to be avoided because of sexual connotations except within the boundaries of marriage.

Have a "committed" day. Love you.
